General Motors nous a habitués à ses doublons. Si ces utilitaires présentent tout de même quelques différences, ils sont construits à partir de la même plateforme. Pourquoi choisir un plus que l'autre ? Sans doute une question de goûts et de prix.

Carrosserie

Pour les indécis, l'Outlook devient une option intéressante. Gardons à l'esprit qu'il doit sa silhouette à celle d'une fourgonnette métamorphosée. Cela ne l'empêche pas d'afficher de belles lignes élégantes. Il affiche une mine robuste.

Habitacle

GM a soigné la conception de l'habitacle. Les matériaux sont de bonne qualité, et la finition, irréprochable. Le confort de l'Outlook se fait sentir par ses sièges bien conçus qui offrent également un maintien adéquat. Les acheteurs de ce véhicule se laisseront tenter par l'impressionnant espace de chargement.

Mécanique

Un seul engin équipe le Saturn Outlook : un V6 de 3,6 litres fournissant 281 chevaux pour le modèle XE et 286 pour la XR. Il s'agit d'un moteur doté de technologies récentes, comme le calage variable des soupapes. La boîte de vitesses automatique à 6 rapports travaille bien et contribue à diminuer quelque peu la soif de carburant du véhicule.

Comportement

On ne conduit pas un Outlook avec le feu dans les yeux. Vaut mieux rester sage, surtout en virage. Ce véhicule se fait apprécier par son confort et sa douceur de roulement. De fait, son comportement est doux comme du coton ! Ce gros nounours docile aime se faire flatter dans le bon sens du poil.

Conclusion

Si l'idée de prendre le volant d'une fourgonnette vous horripile, GM vous propose cette variante popularisée par Saturn. L'Outlook possède des qualités dignes de mention.
